Calming Down

This is for “a bowl of random words,” which can be found on my blogroll.

Slip into this knotted hole, little grasshopper.
Hide
until the chimney is clean
the smoke is gone
and I can forgive myself
for those words blackening
beneath you.

  2. I’m not even sure why I like this poem…I think I need to sit with the words and then revisit. But I definitely like it…I think because the ending brings the other lines to a really satisfying conclusion.

  3. wise words.
